I can't remember anyone asking this, and I already know that most people will just say "be more careful" but I'll ask it anyway. Does anyone make a front camera that splices into the video circuit for for the backup camera? I've had all too many "near misses" where I thought I had a foot of clearance to the parking bump stop, and when I got out of the car, I saw that I was just barely touching it. This is probably because my daily drivers are SUVs and I just don't have to worry about parking them - so I've gotten desensitized to being careful.
It would be super cool to somehow splice a camera into the system so that, when you're parking, you see exactly where the parking stop is. Might be impossible, but I figured I'd ask anyhow.
I looked into wireless dashcams that looked small enough to mount somewhere inconspicuous, and that's an option since the car never sees rain. But, I'll bet that the half-life of a setup like that would be pretty short due to road grime and rocks.
