    Best Tuner in the Country

Currently my car is tuned. However, the Tuner has really put me on the back burner and states the tune is good on fueling "for the most part" but days go by and he never replies, etc. Its starting to get on my nerves.

Anyways the car is a G3 Greg Good car with big cam (236/240) and 10.3:1 CR and Accufabs. Made 586/555 on a Mainline Hub Dyno (tuner said it was running out of MAP towards the top). Additionally, I notice the car will cam hard (really nice chop- sounds like an LS) and then will "tractor" then will chop, and so forth (back and forth). I am looking for a tuner that is, well the best and will want to work with me to get the car perfect. The car has a hesitation when stomping it, in any gear, under any load (ViperExchange sync'd my throttle bodies- so that rules that out).

Looking for advice, I am also thinking about buying a G3 and having it ported out but not sure if I would gain any hp, I think with my combo I could easily be 610-615rwhp.

Here is an interesting thread on idle chop and timing: https://www.viperalley.com/forum/vip...iper-base.html (I dont know who TurboKraft is)

    P.S. I am using HPTuners

I'd suggest Dan Cragin at SPT

He's in SoCal but he's the best there is.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!!

Calvo (Austin) and RSI (Plano) are in Texas. Dan Lesser is in FL / NY but not sure of his capabilities right now.

Another Vote for Todd Abrams @ A&C Performance. He actually tunes for some of the other tuners mentioned.

Dan Cragin is absolutely the best and no one else has been working on Snakes as long as he has, or worked directly with Arrow Racing and folks at Dodge, etc. That said there are some other good guys out there , but Dan is the Man and his level of Viper knowledge exceeds everyone, as he has literally been there ( working on Vipers ) since the beginning!

Happy to help, Todd at AC is also very competent and does remote tuning. HP tuners is limited to what it can do, we prefer SCT and our own software for e-mail tunes.
We can bench flash PCM's as well for those who do not want a programmer.

Todd @ A&C Performance tunes with SCT , AEM , Motec. I have personally had my car tuned by him first using the SCT and then with the AEM. Went 181Mph with his tune in the half mile.

I have decided to give Torrie a shot, will have the car remote tuned 27 Dec.

Car previously made 586/555 on a Mainline with Heads and Cam

Nothing wrong with that decision at all.

Another vote for Dan Cragin (and Chris Jensen) at SPT for your tuning needs. I’ve also received good parts support from Todd at A&C and Dan Lesser at Viper Specialty, but Dan Cragin set me up with the supporting parts for my recent Striker heads install and the tune was great out of the box. I was honestly shocked at how easily the car fired and idled after such invasive surgery. Dyno time to come in the Spring.

Torrie does quite a bit of remote tuning and is certainly qualified to do the job.

    Anyone using Flyin Ryan?

3A828AC2-5B1F-4BE5-9900-60A9A3D4A056.jpgTorrie did a great job. Ended up with 12 revisions and got it running good. I’m happy.

For giggles I put the original tune in that made 586 (SAE correct) on a Mainline Dyno and it made 560 on this Dynojet.

Torrie got his tune to 567 (STD correct). I always heard the Dynojets read very high but me actually making 25-30 LESS hp was a surprise. Yes I know dyno’s are just a tuning tool.
