    Exhaust Question

Nthmoto nailed this exhaust note on their custom exhaust. Does anybody know of an exhaust that resembles this sound? Skip to 22 seconds.

I checked and Nth won't do it unless you send them your car due to tight fitment.

Car sounds great! The ride height is perfect as well. Always loved Competition Blue cars.

Based on what I know about another Nth car, it is ARH headers, no cats and stock mufflers.

I currently have the set up you described, doesn't sound like that at all.

The combination of the ARH/OEM exhaust is what the "standard" head/cam build we do comes with. This setup is far different and is offered as an optional upgrade.

We're glad you like it so much Ben! It sounds wild in person and we were really hoping to capture the sound on camera for everyone. Not only that, but it makes 9-12 HP more than the ARH setup and doesn't have as pronounced of a lull in the lower RPM. But, they're difficult to fit/make so there is significant expense involved as well as having to have the car on hand to build it and know it'll fit happily.

We're in process of another NA build that is more compression, more cubes, more cam, and a similar set of headers but in full Inconel 625 tubing and titanium exhaust... that one will sound all kinds of wild. The car in the video is still stock compression which changes things a lot.

think that video just made my mind up to spend the extra money on that exhaust setup when i do my heads/cam. so my arh 1 7/8" coated headers will be for sale to recoup some money. hahahaha

makes me want a blower with a lumpy cam again. Turbos can never sound that evil!

856rwhp on 93 was pretty wild on the street from my Paxton Gen3. It sounded evil with the Roe 710r cam, AMR headers, no cats and stock Gen3 cat-back with crossover. I love the centrifugal supercharger. Easy driveablity at low RPM's smooth transition to Insaine as rpm climbed. Miss that car.

    Nth that car sounded perfect!

Some shops in the past would use Burns stainless race mufflers (and their 5 into 1 collectors) on custom setups. Just wondering if that is still being utilized by some.

Not exactly the request, but it's close. Nth Moto heads/cam with ARH primaries, Nth's fabricated secondaries, no cats, and OEM mufflers.

I don't know - turbo cars can sound pretty fantastic at idle when you want them to. We have more aggressive sounding turbo cams than this particular one, too, but this one drives super stock-like smooth off idle.

Hey Ian! Not in this case no - those pieces were nice but they would leak over time from the two piece design which was less than ideal for normal street car stuff.

Man that's the closest I've heard a side exhaust sound like a Gen 2...that sounds great!

That's kinda close but that cam just doesn't have enough lump for my liking.
