Def looking to swap out the stock radio for some access to songs on my phone. Not many options out there w/o chopping the dash. These looks like an easy swap. anyone try one>?

Take the easy road. There's a dozen variations of these and they do the job.

I got one basically the same as this. I like it a lot, for the price. A huge upgrade over stock and it looks OEM. Audio output quality is much better(compared to OEM) and I enjoy the touch screen, GPS, and bluetooth capabilities. I would have preferred an Android one like the one you linked, but at the time I bought mine, I could only find one that runs on windows CE.
this is the actual one i got: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-DVD-GPS...72.m2749.l2649

Is it just plug and play? or do you have to make some changes in wiring to the speakers or amp?
I got one similar for around $300 on eBay, works pretty good for Bluetooth to play music from my phone, but the navigation is hit and miss and I haven't figured out how to tell it to stop warning me that I'm exceeding the speed limit lol. Also doesn't always turn on when the car is started and the instructions are quite limited. Overall, if I had to do it again I would get something of higher quality.

I had the same issue with the speeding warning. Theres a setting in one of the menus to turn it off.
as for the navigation, it may depend on your antenna and how well you mounted it. I mounted mine to a huge metal panel under the dash and it seems to work well so far. You need to mount it directly onto metal, the bigger the piece the better.
Get a good radio from a licensed dealer. Here's what I did on my Gen3:

I also have one of these, easy to use but the static level was a little too high for my liking. Overall a good option though if you don't want to mess with a stereo install.Take the easy road. There's a dozen variations of these and they do the job.
