Only a few huh...? It's bad to let them sit, you know Marty? If you need my Gen5 to babysit one in it's engine bay, lemme know!

I've heard for overall reliability the 9.0 sacrifices that to "some". Degree. All statements have varying degrees of opinions. 750-800whp...? Tell me more about this thing I think I now need as soon as possible!

With proper tuning it should fly through CA emissions, too? I would imagine it can run all OEM sensors in closed loop and be okay? Obviously it's not "technically CA legal" but my smog guy just wants it to plug in and pass.

    Ya dig?

I ran my prefix 9.0 730whp motor for over a year hard on the track, no issues. Just got it back with over 800whp, dying to get it back out on the track, not until November 16th. Did you hear of some blown up 9.0's?

We have 2 fixes for the oil pan problem dry sump system or our racing oil pan coming out this next year. Reliable tune is also very important. Road race you dont need max HP you need endurance and reliability. Cali emissions usually no problem. Visual easy pass. We are now working with a motor builder we have faith in. When your ready pm me.
Let's see how I navigate Sonoma with 640HP before I go trying to make an additional 200WHP!

^^^ Yeah, I can't imagine reliability being an issue for the 9L. We're talking about a large 10 cylinder engine that any of the good engine builders will tell you has no issue handling quite a bit more power than what a 9L puts out. And these are the guys beating on them at 1/2 mile and 1 mile events. Only issue has been oiling. Accusump should ease all concern.

Speaking of street legal, will you have any trouble with the state of CA with the Earnhardt bar obstructing forward vision?

^^^ Definitely paint it black to conceal its presence at the very least.

All temps and pressure good no warnings. Pulled motor rebuilt and and ECU corrected by motor builder. Been running great ever since.
Thats interesting since you told us the temps were high with water in the 270 plus range, and the driver continued to run the car.
There was over 11,000 changes in the ECU calibration, when compared to our calibration that is included with the 9L.
All pistons showed sign of detonation. Fuel pressure may have been an issue as well since it was not monitored.

I know this is essentially race car build with Chassis stiffening and Geometry (and much more), But I have to ask......the pic showing the door, the gaps are Horrid? Is that the final fit or is everything still to be adjusted?

Sorry to pour rain on the parade

Sounds Awesome, and thanks for the reply.
I always wished that the Viper team in Le man's would (when facing a non win) bring one of the cars into the garage, unrestrict it and then go back out on track for a couple of laps and show the crowd what the cars really could do!
Yeah they would have got a black flag but it would have been a great way to go out.

Couldn’t agree more. I can see why OEM’s hate to go racing, 98% of the problems stem from sanctioning bodies catering to the highest bidder.

The base for our kit is the Holinger RD6 trans; Handles 1000HP and 800ftlbs with zero problems, paddle shift or bump shift. Extremely low maintenance, dozens of gear ratios, compact design. We absolutely love these transmissions and The guys at holinger were great to work with.
Does the paddle shifted setup do no-lift shifts? Without motec? What controls it?

Is it more or less than Motec?

Was quoted $13k-$16k for Motec installed by other shops

Kirskyk EFI tech is about the same price as Motec. But EFI is alot easier to deal with and work with. EFI is also easier to customize to your application and expand for data integration, paddle or bump shift, braking, driver aids etc.

Coming along nicely...Can't wait to see it carving up the tracks!
