    2014 Viper Service Information Disc

I just bought the 2014 Viper Service Information Disk and can't get it to open on my Windows 7 laptop. Has anybody had this problem and, if so, how to you solve it. Thanks for any help as this is very irritating!

Don't know much about the 2014 service manual, but I have the 2008 service manual on cd and it will not run in Windows 7, but runs fine on my old laptop that still has Windows XP. Hope this helps someone else.

I think we are talking about different animals. The OP was asking about the service manual which does not come with the car or is it associated with the purchase of the car. I do not believe you can get a printed version of the service manual, it is actually very hard to get print output via the manual.

    FYI...these discs are NOT fun.

2008 service manual disc is fair, works best on my Vista machine BUT it takes a back door approach if default browser is not internet explorer. Also works well on my Windows 2000 n tbased machine. It will NOT work at all on my XP pro machine.

2009 disc is more user friendly in most areas...quite defferent than 08 in MY hands.

2014 disc works on Vista machine...IF I go with Internet Explorer. The lack of electrical info is pathetic in my opinion.

Can you tell me if the 2014 version refers to a Gen V illustration for removing the rear marker light. My 2013 disk refers to a Gen 3/4 picture and NOT a Gen V. Directions are not applicable.

The worst part is the inability to print a full procedure.. If the details cover several pages, you must do screen captures. As was stated, the lack of circuit diagrams and pin-outs, suck.

Simms, though it took a little time...the 2014 DVD,s diagram and directions are the same as on the 2009 DVD for the rear side marker.

Bummer...thanks for checking it out. On the Gen V, you can't just reach up from under the rear to access the rear marker. Looks like you either have to take the inner fender liner out, or remove the diffuser.
