    Has anyone tried this type?

I will buy a software this winter, but not sure what to buy yet. Perhaps SCT PRO RACER SOFTWARE.

I read on the alley that the SCT has more tables and functions available versus this new HP-Tuners. HP-Tuners has better tech-support and customer service though. I dunno....I have a SCT for my Gen2, but it's just a paperweight on my bench because nobody local knows how to use it, and shops with a dyno don't want to pay for the ProTune software for 1 tuning session.

How do you like your SCT? Any issues? I would do all the mapping by me self...

I've literally NEVER used it. I don't have the know-how to properly tune a $7k engine. Just plugged it in to see if it lights up.......That's IT.

Depends on what you want to do. For NA tunes its not a bad approach. For Forced Induction....it depends. I make it work, but it only lets you go so far. Ya gotta want to scratch your head alot unless you want to pay Dan Lesser to do it right.

We tuned my 97 on HPTuners Tuesday. We were working while on the phone with a HPTuners developer populating some tables that they didn’t have defined yet. No issues at all tuning and the logging was worlds better than SCT. Doing a 2000 rt/10 early next week
