Thread: 1995 O2 sensor

    1995 O2 sensor

I recently failed an emission test because the tech could not find the o2 sensor. I took off both side exhaust panels and I could not find any sensors.

I called the dealer and they said the car did come with and o2 sensor - am I looking in the wrong place(s)?

#1, the tech is a moron. Should not be working there if he doesn't even know where STOCK 02 sensors are placed. WOW

Yeah man, you can see them clear as day just by looking under the car. I would **NOT** go back to that mechanic.

Is "look under car at the exhaust manifold" not conclusive enough? How many other things are screwed in to your exhaust system, let alone with a 1/4" diameter wire bundle coming from said item.

This really is laziness at it's finest. Look. Under. Your. Car.

that was a lot of words that could’ve been summed up with one pic. I love it when people try and explain something to me in my line of work. They spend 5 minutes going into great detail about a problem and finally I just say “ just send me a pic”. Usually the pic explains the situation either A. In a way that is completely 180 degrees opposite from how they tried to explain it or B. In a way words never could’ve but most importantly C. saves a tremendous amount of valuable time. That’s why my employees need to have phones that can take pics. Not many old timers with phones that can’t take pics or don’t know how to take pics and edit them for clarity, but still a few out there. I won’t hire them.
