    Gen 1 lowering spring caps

Does anyone make the Gen 1 lowering spring caps? I find Gen 2 and up but not Gen 1, I put 19/18 staggered wheels on a 1995 and want to drop the height just a little, not looking for performance or handling upgrade just want to loose a little wheel well reveal and a little lower in the rear to make up for the 19s, would be happy with .5-.75 inch drop

Might be showing my ignorance here, but I believe that the caps themselves are all the same. Should fit all Gen 1-4s. Gen 5s are different.

As I understand it the Gen 1 diameter of the springs is slightly smaller and the Gen 2 caps won't work, according to the only co I can find that actually advertises 1992 and up lowering caps, but he is trying to sell me $3500 adjustable shocks as an alternative

No, don't need to do that. If anything, look at BC coil overs. About $1200 for a set, fully adjustable, very reliable. I bet some of the site sponsors can even beat that price. When I go new shocks for my 1994, that is what I will be doing. I have them on my Gen 2 cars.

Thanks again... hate to go that route for a half inch drop but might be what I have to do if I can't achieve it with caps

Rob can you buy the gen2 caps and have a local machine shop take .125 off the diameter? Of coarse there will have to be enough aluminum to do this.

I have thought of doing exactly that if I can't find the right ones, thank you
