Blown ignition fuse at the track p0320 code

Hi, new to this forum, I acquired a 96 GTS racecar last year, car was done by woodhouse and the engine is from Exotic Engines.

Car has been running great until my last track event, I did about 10laps, and on the cooldown lap as I slowed down the car went quiet.

It cranks over, but does not start. We found that the 30amp ignition fuse was blown. Replaced it, but still nothing.

I checked codes, and I am getting P0320 ignition/distributor engine speed input circuit. Which leads me to believe Crankshaft position sensor? But why would that lead to a blown fuse?

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Cheers

While most of my guesses concerning your situation are covered on another forum, I would reach out to members of Motor City group as there are lots of knowledgeable folks there...and, certainly at least a few with DRB III instruments who might be able to help you.

It would be helpful if you would post what ignition system the car is using. Judging by the fact it still responds with OBD type codes it appears to be stock but if not that would be helpful info.

The ignition is stock, everything is run by the stock ECU (just tunned)
