Power Steering Return Hose

Any recommendations of where I should get a power steering return hose for 96 GTS? I've done searches for them and sites state that what they have is compatible with out Vipers, but I've been done that road before.

Its an odd size, any Dodge dealer should have some, it comes on a reel like regular hose and you buy it by the foot. Its low pressure hose and is used on other Mopar vehicles.

Um. The '96 GTS is all Gen 2. The return hose is just common hose and hose clamps on my GTS. So what do you mean you can't find one?

I know hoses are out there and I've found some. I just don't want to buy one that is a bit too large in diameter and have a leak. I just wanted to know where people bought the hose and had no issues with leaks. In the past I have bought aftermarket parts for the car and at times they don't fit quite right.

As someone that actually drives their car I can vouch for the fact that the power steering hose I purchased does not leak. I did it years ago and thousands of odometer miles ago.

I ordered my replacement LP hose from NAPA a few years back. Came in one piece that needed to be cut to lengths.

Zero problem or issues with probably 15k miles on it. It’s not like these have specific, molded bends in them anyway.

Just put one on yesterday Oriellys has the 11/32 power steering hose in reels. Bought a foot and worked great. Not easy to get on th the nipple but is the correct size.

No I went to a worm drive clamp as the AC Delco hose is thicker and with the (or more...) braid reinforcement. Those constant tension clamps looked a little light for that hose. I believe the clamps I used were of the 5/16" wide variety. Just don't over tighten them. They don't need much to work.

You can still get the OE hose. It comes with the fitting that goes into the steering rack as well. You might consider replacing they high pressure hose, they tend to fail first.

Yes sir - right at the crimp connector by the #1 exhaust port. Extreme heat and pressure cycles do them in.
