Mounting and Balancing Pirelli Slicks

Hopefully I can get some tire gurus to chime in.

I am running Pirelli DH slicks and I was wondering,

1) where can I get a used set of slicks mounted, do you guys do it at home by yourself? Bubble balance or regular?
2) should I get them balanced? Just the wheel? Both?
3) any advice on how to prevent the tire from rotating on the wheel at the track?

There seems to be very limited info from Pirelli.

I just take mine to a really good tire shop and they do indeed balance them. Balancing is not so important as after the first session so much rubber comes off the tire, much more than the tiny little weight on the wheel.
As far as the tire rotating on the wheel, if you are running wheels that aren't knurled they will indeed move when you brake hard on a sticky tire like a Pirelli slick. Back in the day when I ran Sidewinders, my tire would move half way around one session LOL. Knurled forgelines solved that.

Arizona can we just add EXTREME as you middle name on here. Jeez, half away around after 1 session? So 4 session in...you were back to square one by the end of the day!

Mine do the same. I thin it has a lot less to do with how extreme you are, and a lot more with how good your brakes are haha

i had same issue on sw2 with hoosier r7 on my ta2. hoosier said dry mount with no lube and use hairspray on bead to reduce any air loss. once i did that they quit rotating. but u better find a good tire shop they r really hard to mount dry. usually set them in sun for a few hours before mounting.
