    Tips for our Florida vacatio

    Hi everybody,

We will travel to Florida mid of October for some vacation and I was wondering whether you can recommend some good places to eat to experience authentic local food. We'll be staying in Miami, Orlando and Key West.

Any other tips on what to see or not to do would be appreciated, too!

    Thanks for your help!

I am in Orlando area and I always recommend Gatorland to anyone visiting. It's a smaller attraction than the normal Disney or Universal Studies that everyone knows about and does but great fun for the family and doesn't cost much as compared to others.

    Sunscreen. lol

I've always wanted to drive down 1 to the Keys in an exotic convertible, I think it would be a blast.

Goto Old Town In Orlando on Friday night. Tons of classic cars and it has all kinds of cool stuff to do. Also the food is awesome.

When coming down I-75. Stop by Silver Springs in Ocala and take the boat tour. Also near Ocala is Don Garletts drag racing museum.

Once in Key West find the ferry to goto Dry Tortugas It's an old early 1800's military base that's a man made island about 2hr west of key west. Plan to camp overnight as the stars alone are worth it. Say Hi to the sea crocodile in the mote for me.

Near Fort Laudersale you need to go see Coral Castle. It's incredible.

Have to visit Miami Beach for the Bikinis.

Be prepared for lots of traffic on I 95 Make sure you register for a Sun Pass with the rental car so you can drive in the Toll lane.

Well, thanks for all the tips, however, as stated in my initial post, we went there in October, so you are a bit late here... ;-)
