    Eddie Martin Phoenix Viper tech

I had to have some work done on my 06. Decided to trailer it down to Phoenix (7 hrs away), to Eddie at the Tempe Ram dealership he works at.

While handing off the keys to our cars to someone else can leave you with a feeling of uncertainty, in this case it was totally comfortable.

When I first showed up, Eddie took me into the shop area to show me the 'Viper Corner'. 2 lifts and 3 other Vipers at this time. He let me drive the car in myself and I told Eddies what I needed. I gave him the keys and he promptly locked them up in his tool box. He ensured me that only he would be driving the car if needed. The service writer had taken notes while we talked and he told me that after the mechanics leave the shop for the day, all the doors to the shop are locked and no one will have access

Wanted the share this experience as I have recently seen a few threads about uncomfortable situations while the car is being worked on

The way these guys took care of me, it really shows they do care and understand how we feel about our unique cars. Leaving there, I knew it was in good hands

Will update as the work gets done

It should probably be covered on the Gen3 forum, but the cooling fans stopped working and none of the steps I took made any difference. Also, a pesky ‘low tire’ chime that won’t shut up.

This thread was more about capable Viper techs that are becoming more and more rare

Glad you made this thread, as one of the Vipers you saw was probably mine.

My car has been to Eddie twice.

The first time my PCM/ECU was fried during a routine car wash. Before I told him the car still ran, he offered to do a house visit! However, I dove the car to him and Eddie took care of the problem but...the kicker! I was in the middle of de-badging my car and hadn't completely gotten the adhesive residue off, on his own accord Eddie removed the adhesive without a request from me! This tells me he is meticulous and inspected the car to a level that I do when it's with me. Big thanks for that!

The second and current time, my car is making an undiagnosable click sound somewhere in the driveline or suspension. I have a busy deployment schedule and had to leave before the car would be done, Eddie offered to take care of getting the car back to my house! If that isn't a stand-up guy I don't know what is. I trust him enough to leave my car with him, leave the country and have no worries the issue will be solved.

Super stoked to have him right down the street from me! I can't thank Eddie enough for taking care of my car and leaving me with no worries.
