    Blacked Out Wheel Center Caps

Anyone have a good/easy way to black out the center caps on our wheels? They come polished as standard but look out of place on a black wheel. Surprised that FCA did not address this when they moved towards the all black wheel options. I've already switched out the lug nuts, but now need the center cap. Would be cool to have the Stryker outline painted in the car color as well. I have my paint color and could supply some for the job.

I have a set of black/ silver lip SW 1s that I bought with black center caps. I said the same thing about my polished center caps on my all black SW1s and put the black ones on my all black rims. Boy did that look bad... the chime lug nuts stood out like something crazy and made it look off. If I was to try it again (which I won’t because I’m over it) I would go with a black lug nut or paint the fangs logo silver.

In any case scuff up your center caps and paint them black. If you don’t like it they’re easy to repolish. It’s just aluminum.

Plasti dip is ghetto AF but it is durable and will give you a taste of the look for $7. The matte black will dry very close to the matte oem wheel finish

Not a bad idea and not permanent. Seriously if your lugnuts are shiny it looks weird. If I get a wild hair I could show you how bad it looks. In fact take your polished center caps off and stand back. If it’s dark where you can’t see the spindle or half shaft nut you’ll get the picture.
