Gen 5 Pistons and Rods lying around

Thanks in advance for the help. Have my Gen 4 apart and while I wasn't planning on tearing it all apart - it might make sense "While I Was There" to change out to the Gen 5 pistons. If anyone has a set in great shape with hopefully low miles on them that they want to sell, let me know. Located in Phoenix BTW. And since I believe every post should have a pic ... here's what a little detonation does to a gen 4 piston :

    Best personal regards,

    John

It would seem a very bad batch of gas, combined with 100+ temps, an aggressive right foot, and having to abruptly get off the go pedal led to some detonation on #9 cylinder. Had 30k miles of very spirited driving with ZERO problems, so that's my best guess? Bolt on mods, intake work, headers and full exhaust, mopar pcm. I have been told by some of the builders on here that this is NOT totally unusual with the Gen 4 as those pistons appear to be a weak link.

JTNT, Jay Tianti has a set of Gen5 Pistons/Rods for sale in the classifieds, best price around. I've been thinking of snagging them for basica plug/play upgrade to my Gen4 but you need them more than I do.

Thanks Bart , let me know.
Unfortunately Gen 4 Pistons are the weakest of all Gens with a shallow ring land as you have discovered .
