I like the sound of this. Does this mean DSE is getting into the lightweight exhaust business?

Thanks for those who have contributed so far (updated 1st post). Right now I am just gathering data but thought it could be useful information to others as well.

    Thanks

wanted to bump this thread to see if DSE has any exhaust plans in the future

I dont have access to the mufflers, but they are a good 20lbs (each), the ARH felt like it weighed half that.

Perhaps - but I believe the price for an exhaust system made from exotic materials is beyond what many (all?) would pay.

Thank you, from what I can gather the ARH muffler is the quietest choice next to OEM.

Yes, ARH mufflers are slightly quieter than OEM, with a deep mellow tone.
    From my notes :
    Stock mufflers : 47 lbs ( 2 x 23.5)
    ARH mufflers : 46 lbs (2 x 23)
    Corsa mufflers : 46 lbs (2x 23)
    OEM Cats : 29 lbs (2 x 14.5)
    OEM Manifold : 21 lbs (2 x 10.5)

My VE Titanium muffler + ARH tip weighed 7 lbs per side. About half of that was the steel tip section.

    Hi Doug,
FYI only - Prefix has done extensive (performance, cats, sizes, volume, etc..) exhaust system testing. You may consider giving Scot a call and compare notes.

Maybe start off with a catback? I would buy a DSE quality Ti catback.

The Agency Power Ti option had bad quality control and fitment.

The Viper Exchange Ti option seemed really nice, but I'm not even sure you can buy those anymore. I know they used Ticon components, but there is not a skilled Ti fabricator anywhere near me.

The Viper Exchange one's were just mufflers, everything from muffler to header was stock

Correct, I was just talking about a DSE part that would replace the factory exhaust parts from the end of the cat pipes to the tips. Then also possibly Ti "J" pipes with and without cats. I would think a Ti header option would be too cost prohibitive. Although I would love to see those offered.

Yeah I would be interested in that. I know Calvo makes them by hand on cars that are at his shop.

I can't say I have seen one of his systems before. I have probably heard one though, as I have been around a handful of Vipers that have come out of his shop.
