    Stryker green for sale opinions

Stryker green GTS came up for sale. Guy is super upfront and honest.

Looks like it had some agency power carbon fiber side skirts added and one is cracked/damaged pretty bad. Car was imported from Canada. (Story on vinwiki with Palmers) stories dont add up here regarding the amount of owners comparing to carfax...

Does the Canadian car thing hurt values? Does not being able to finance like a normal auto and having to be personal loan hurt values? What are opinions out there?

No, no, no...they cost half because of the Canadian Peso!

I'm pretty sure there's no warranty with a Canadian car imported to the USA.

Aren't personal loans higher interest rates?

I think that car sold months ago mark. Isnt that the one that is now known at grinch2.0 that just got back from NTHmoto?

That is my understanding too...in addition to an import tax. Find out what you're dealing with when it comes to the tax. It's also my understanding that the mechanical speedo on the far left of cluster is in km/hr. I didn't think canadian cars registered anything with carfax??

Also, this car has been for sale forever. He's probably eager for a sale.

No that was a different one.

I was very interested in that car a little over a month ago. Sent multiple requests and the seller never responded at all.

I’ve seen those pics on Facebook. Seller is some sort of flipper who often seems to pass off cars as “personal vehicles” when they don’t seem to be. Always begging people to sell him deals... I’d approach with extreme skepticism.

This is exactly correct. The seller is an extreme bottom feeder always offering to "buy" a vehicle for sale at a ridiculously low price. Proceed with extreme caution. IF he actually owns this vehicle he got it dirt cheap, that's the ONLY way he rolls.

I have no affiliation with that guy, but honestly what's the problem with buying and reselling cars to make a profit? If the car is as solid as it says, and the potential buyer wants to pay the Stryker Green tax at 105k, then it doesn't matter. Maybe he's a bottom feeder for other reasons, but certainly not because he bought cheap and sold high.

In other words, like most car dealers then ?

Yea, no warranty is first thing. So it’s whether that matters or not. I’d personally only do this car if I were sending to Nth or Calvo for motor building up. That price is high imho. From a value perspective, you can get US TAs for that money, no stories, sketchy paperwork, flipper, etc involved, and they’ve had solid value resilience. But depends on how badly you want Stryker green vs risks and money.

I don’t understand the loan question. I don’t see how a car loan/lien vs a personal note or line of credit use would impact the cars value. Back when I financed buying cars ( I’m a baller slinging cash now, lol ), I used a personal line of credit and not car loans, the line was granted on collateral of home equity, it gave me a couple hundred thousand availability with the writing of a check, with deductible interest. Def no impact on my resale of the car other than I didn’t have a lien on the car so the title was always ‘in hand’, which I also liked.

I think the car you speak of was sold to someone in Florida; I believe the dealer ended up "giving" the buyer of the vehicle extra monies (refund back) in case the engine blew since it was from Canada and had no warranty (the US dealers listing did not mention when purchaser bought it it was from Canada). I remember reading the entire story on the VOA Facebook site. I think if you search Canadian car on the VOA Facebook site & scroll down you will see the original post. Sorry no answer to your actual questions but I'm pretty sure this is the car I'm thinking of which may give you a little more history/insight.

Grinch 2.0 was with nth motor for a couple of years then sold to a cool cat (Grinch) in Florida. We talk on insta a lot.

As viper Jon says the car I posted I would be careful of too, but if the guy has the actual car and it’s a US spec with an R28 warranty then it’s a fair price for the Stryker green tax. The Canadian Facebook car has no warranty unless you drive it back Windsor CA.

Good luck with either. Both are exactly the same except one has “chromies”which is appealing to the cars in coffee corvette wax jorts crowd.

FYI: there are two more Stryker greens floating around not listed for sale. One is members on here who pulled the sale after not getting interest, and the other is a Colorado car with a big rock chip in it. Grinch 1.0 was wrecked but is being rebuilt? Maybe that price point might be better? 50-70k . Attachment 39564Attachment 39565Attachment 39566Attachment 39567 pics courtesy of Grinch!

That is the car I was referring to BSLSK. He had a buyer but apparently guy fell through offering 80k now.

Mark, the grinch I was referring to that went to NTH is very recent, owner is intrigue something on the forums or Ryan is the fellas name (super cool guy btw we chat often) he bought one that I THOUGHT was the one you mentioned but looking back now he bought from a guy named Matt.

I am leaning towards the above mentioned stance of not really wanting Canadian car unless building it and considering there is already a built Stryker available for sale, it would be better to just buy that one if I were gunna go that route

    Sirhiss,

Grinch 1.0 went to nth motor or Calvo before wrecked owned by Tommy in Florida Grinch.

Grinch 2.0 was either at Calvo or nth motor already built and sold to Tommy in Florida (Grinch)

Grinch 1.0 is being rebuilt or modded in Pennsylvania.

A forum member posted on this forum I think he still has his, and the new one on autotrader plus the Facebook Canada car. Colorado car is somewhere around Colorado too.

That Colorado car is sketttccchhhyyy. I actually flew out and saw it in person before I bought my orange TA... the rock chip is a issue but man. Its so much worse lol. They filled it with some kinda green plastic and it looks god awful. That car was bought by the dealer after being repossessed from original owner. The guy at the dealership couldnt tell me when the oil was changed last as he claimed they dont have a viper tech anywhere around... the tires were bald, the lot owner drives the car around to advertise his dealership. And even almost 2 years ago now, he was willing to sell it for 92,xxx. They also lie about the miles. Advertised around 8k when I looked but when I got there it was like 98xx so Im sure its well over 11k by now.

Its fun talking on here and being able to get history of so many cars. These forums are such an underrated wealth of knowledge. Kudos for stellar viper club members!
