APR Carbon AERO Installed Sneak Peak First

I didn't think I could love the car MORE... but I was wrong. Suspension on, and rear wing installed (74" - same as ACR, they offer 71" too). Enjoy... more this weekend once the front end is done and I get some good shots. Stay tuned!

I have the smaller of the two splitters, yes. Going on Friday! More involved. Although... the spoiler was a bit of a biotch because I didn't follow my own advice. #stupid

Did you have to drill some extra holes? LOL

2 yes. one on each side. The product, once assembled was not "sqaure" as the instructions and template made the markings. I knew better and should be built the spoiler and set it on, but it comes in so many pieces and it's awkward. Luckily it was only small pilot holes. no biggie. but drilling a Viper CF trunk made my stomach turn. No holes are visible.

Wait until you cut out the front fenders Pappy style.

I'm sure I would have screwed up too if Pappy didn't drill my holes! And at least they are all under the bracket! Are you going to do canards too?

Did the rear wing package come with supports underneath the rear deck lid or did you have to supply your own?

No canards... I don't like the way they look (no offense) and I don't think I'm drive it hard enough to notice a difference, so I can't justify drilling another expensive item in an obvious location based on performance. I'm a function AND form guy... but it's gotta do both to some degree.

I'll have to make my own. That's on the list. The upper supports for the stanchions are impressively chunky. I'll post pics this weekend, but the mating surface is well spread out so I don't think it'll need much.

Does anyone have an ACR who'd like to post a pic of the underside of their trunk. I'd love to see Dodge's solution. Thanks!

There are no supports, you'll be fine!

Of the AERO and install? I have a zillion pics... full install. My blacked out tail light panel. etc. I'll post everything once the front is on. The quality is definitely second to none. It's just gorgeous in person. APR does a great job.

Here are some prelims. Having my car and a few others shot the last weekend of the month, professionally. Will add to the Gen5 pics thread once they are done! Enjoy!

    Install Pics for Fun:

The bumper is extremely rigid, being composite. So it took some finesse but came off relatively easily. Instructions say remove belly pan/engine shield. I don't recommend that. It allows you to sandwich and hold the bumper during re installation. But, to each their own.

The tape allowed me to move the bumper to some degree without have to drill holes. I drilled my rear holes, then front and center, then the rest. Went on without a hitch and was done in under 2 hours start to finish taking my damned time. Excellent quality piece.

    Infamous Gas-Up Photo!

***YES, I plan to raise it.*** No scraping what so ever until AERO was installed, so it's doing its damned job, for sure. Going to bring it up 1/2" and see where that leaves me. Playing on old tires and the scraping was minor, but present. The car sticks something crazy!

Thanks! Already talking to JonB about the rear disfuser/strakes... might need to prioritize tires first. We will see...

White and black combo is awesome. I think black mirrors would really balance the look.

If you can't find them, I have a friend that if you send him your mirror covers he can mold them and send you back your originals plus CF ones.
