Gen 2 Cometic head gasket torque

Do you guys use stock 120Nm for Cometic headgasket? Or is it a different torque setting for this gasket?

I would contact Dan Lesser at Viper Specialty Performance. He engineered their existence.

Greg Good told me to use the factory torque specs whether I used cometic or stock mls gasket. Cometic's own website also suggests using the stock torque specs. Remember to tighten using two steps. First to 35 ft. lbs then to 90 ft. lbs.

Use the torque specs for the bolts that you are using. You are torquing the bolts, not the gasket.

If you're using head studs and the cometic MLS I would shoot for 115ft lb.

If you're using stock bolts and the MLS I have no clue.

Gen 2 Production head bolts should installed with just a little WD40 on the threads and under the bolt washer heads. Use the sequence in the manual (middle out), torque the bolts to 35 ft. lbs. then 1/4 turn. This comes to about 95 ft. lbs.
If you use oil or ARP stud lubricant it will increase the applied torque.
