03 04 engine in an 06 Potential issues

Hey guys, I'm looking at a local 2004 long block that I was intending to build and then swap into my 06 Coupe. After some research I learned that the 03-04 blocks don't have the same knock sensor locations ( only 1 I think) and the crank sensor setup is different.

    My questions are:
Do the bosses exist on the 03-04 blocks for the location of where the 05-06 knock sensors go? ( can I make an 03-04 block use the same knock sensors and locations as an 05-06)

Is the crank positions sensor difference just a locations one or is the entire method of tracking the position different ( can I make a jumper harness to plug into the 03-04 sensor using an 06 ecu and it read correctly)

    Thanks guys

the crank sensor is a bit different, you will need to get splice the wires with a different plug to work in the rear of the 03/04 engines. Also, you will need a 03/04 flywheel to have that sensor use the pickup points. Might be easier to get a 05/06 engine. Check your PMs.

you can extend/shorten the crank sensor harness as necessary as use it.
I cant remember off the top of my head if the sensor is the same, i dont think it is but the pigtails are available.
The knock sensors just bolt to the engine, they can be moved.
