Not too bad. The CF gill things are gross and the rear end is gross, but we'll get used to them.

As usual, Corvette is a great value for the performance. Time will tell on what kinds of problems the car will inevitably have.

Nice car.....there will be many of them on the road. The claimed sub 3 second 0-60 with no more HP than it has is impressive.

Yeah, I can't quite understand that claim... a little bit more weight than the last 'vette and 500 HP doesn't feel like sub 3.. maybe the gearing has a trick launch mode of some sort.

Which brings me back to my biggest problem with it. No manual? None?

Well, it sounds like it will be quick, 0-60 under 3 sec, looks ok, but from what I see, still looks plasticy, but the interior....ugh, big square wheel, the "ipad" looks like it was just placed there, super long dash in front of the passenger, and those 20+ buttons to the right? yuck

With that price point they will sell millions of these cars (like usual). We will see them everywhere. The front and side look good but the rear is ok. I didn’t like the rear of the C7 but it grew on me over time, this will probably do the same. I’m kind of shocked when I saw the trunk space behind the motor in the rear of the car.

The interior looks plastic but it does have a 60k price point. Not a fan of the long row of switch’s in the cabin either. The ZO6 will probably have better interior refinements.

490hp isn’t bad for the base model. It does get an 8 speed dual clutch transmission with no chance of a standard tranny which disappoints me. I had a car with a dual clutch and it seemed boring to drive. I find a standard to be much more fun, but it looks like this is the future we live in.

In all, I think I like the car, don’t love it. We might have gone the same way if the viper was still in production.

looks a lot like a Ford GT, hope it is not just a cheap copy.

It just made every other Corvette on earth look very dated. Well done.
That noise you heard was C7 owners who paid 150K for their ZR1's hitting the floor in a dead faint.

I think GM did a good job with the design and keeping the price around $60K. It will definitely turn some heads the first few months but soon you'll see one all the time and the novelty will wear off. I'm wondering if all the hype and media attention is making FCA think about a new Viper or some new high end sports car.

I watched the reveal last night. The car is very well engineered and is impossible to beat at the $60,000 entry level. I was a little underwhelmed with the horsepower of 495, but it's hard to argue with a sub 3 second 0-60. Miss the Manual, but it looks like a proper 8 speed DCT.

I am buying the Z06 when it arrives during the 2nd year. It's going to be a hell of a car. These are the good old days.

I find the design interesting. A lot going on and quite busy. Looking forward to seeing one in person as that may give a different feel for it.

Performance sounds amazing for engine output. Makes you wonder what a few hundred more horses will do

Interior is fair and I agree with what has been said about the line of a dozen + buttons on the right. Not a great look. Not real easy to find the right one without looking directly at it. Steering wheel is cool.

As far as the price point, I think it’s a mistake. Making it that inexpensive will immediately flood the market. Maybe it’s a Bernie Sanders approach. Every household should have one to make sure we are all equal

The problem with it is if you are interested.....when do you jump in? You know there are going to be much more powerful variants coming. Do you want to be the guy with the 495HP version when next year the 650HP is unveiled?

Looks like a mix off many manufacturers, may have Identity issues. As with the new gender issues, it can be whatever it wants to be, Very Binary.

Always better to see in person though, you never know it may grow on yah.

I think they killed it. Not a super pretty design, but that is par the course for Chevy. I also think they messed up their "Stingray" image by naming this that, they should have kept the old versions Stingray and had a new name for the mid engine. But none the less, amazing value for the performance you get (compare to the new Supra which is the same price point, wow not even close...). Like someone else said, it will be interesting to see what the performance versions are able to do.

Exterior- The front and sides are a little better than I expected, but I do not care for the rearend at all. Sad to see the center exit exhaust go away as well. I hope the rearend gets a more aggressive update for the Z06 model.

Interior- The floating iPad and button layout gives the impression that the interior was an after thought.. The seats look great and the gauge cluster customization is nice.

Performance- They seemed to hit it out of the park here. The C8 weighs a little more than the C7, but it obviously moves the weight quite well. I'm really interested to see what this car does with even more HP and a more track oriented suspension/brake setup (Z06).

Misc- The GPS integrated lift system is a nice touch. I'm honestly pretty jealous of this feature living in Louisiana. Lol

    Overall, it's a nice car and a hell of a bargain..but I'll be keeping my '15 SRT.

I agree about the looks from the rear, and some parts of the interior being sub par. But overall, I'm shocked at how good a job Chevrolet did. The first photo that I saw was a surprise... some Lambo styling elements, a sleek profile from the side, no wheel gaps, a huge trunk for a rear-mid engine car. The wheel design looks good to me and matches the rest of the car well. My favourite styling element is seen in the pic from above, which shows off the engine under glass. I love that feature in our R8 and I think it looks fantastic in the Corvette. The performance should be amazing. For a starting price of only $60K? It's a fantastic deal.

It looks like too many other cars (Ferraris, Lambo, Vette) smashed together. But I complain about new Corvette's aesthetics every time they release. The C5 grew on me, the C6, sometimes I even think the c7 looks "good" in Z trim.

The C2 and C5 are the best looking Corvettes ever assembled. Fight me.

Still trying to find the "Corvette Soul" in it... the Viper is so iconic because it always reminds you of the original. Every iteration. All the styling cues. GM just wanted to sell billions of Corvettes (and they will) and it will always remind us why the Viper will keep going up in value... even paired against a mid-engine sledge box.

Oh and the ass is HIDEOUS... like a Camaro fukked an R8 and had a red headed step child. Yikes!

Kudos to Chevy for not worrying what previous buyers wanted (round tail lights) and moving the ball forward. For $60k this is a Steal. I do suspect there will be quite a number of Ferrari badges on these, having been to enough car shows to see Corvette owner

I look forward to seeing one in person. Photographs are useless tools for deciding from, unless your goal in owning a car is what it looks like in a photograph.
I admire Chevrolet for not producing the same old thing and just making a mildly updated replica of a previous model even though that is what their AARP customers might have wanted. At some point, you have to go after a new generation of buyers, or your product will die.

Good bang for the buck and yes many will be on the road. Recall GM Saying "The average age of the current Vette buyer is 60........ And they wanted a younger buyer ! "
On a positive Note , they have raised the Bar for other Manufactures, And Hoping FCA is taking note and offering a counter measure.

Some people including me felt that was one reason the Gen V didn't sell as well as it could have. Instead of a new daring cutting edge design they went back to the iconic Gen 2 look because they mistakenly listened to the loud voices of older generation Viper owners. The same older Viper owners who never bought a Gen V they couldn't afford.
