There are several things that might cause the problem. Check connections to the PCM and make sure they are tight. Do you have headers? If so and if your wiring harness is not properly insulated you could have melted wires internally causing an intermittent problem. The outside of the harness typically looks ok but wires on the inside could be melted. I have first hand experience with this. You can start the car and then move the harness around if you have a melted shorting wire it is possible that the movement will trigger the issue. Also check all grounds.

    Good luck.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

I do not have headers. I've kept a close eye on this area because I had seen a few issues. I almost always open my hood when i get back from a hard or longer trip to try and prevent this. I will likely build a heat shield for this area as well.

That comment was directed to calvo not you. I have actually bought several parts from you.
Unfortunately whether you meant it or not you called "99%" of those on this forum "pricks". That means that 99 out of 100 of us are pricks based on your post. I suspect your post may have been posted in haste after one poster upset you. If however you really believe that 99% of us are pricks then you really should stop posting on here otherwise maybe an apology is warranted.

Your spot on. I was 100% having a shitty day yesterday and dude got under my skin. Welcome the internet I get it. To anyone that has actually tried to help I apologize for that comment. Today is a new day so lets try this again.

Unfortunately I've yet to really find many knowledgeable owners that can answer questions and most dealers don't have a clue either. This is EXTREMELY frustrating because the main reason I bought this car is because I figured it would be just as easy if not easier to work then other stuff I've owned. When doing my research I immediately noticed most forums and Facebook pages that were Viper related were fairly hateful. It's a very close second to Supra Forum.

I enjoy the car but I'm by no means a die hard Viper or Dodge guy so I don't even fit the mold for most Viper clubs. I'll be more then happy to try and help anyone solve any issue they have and if I don't have anything constructive to add I keep my mouth shut.

If you get a cheap real code scanner it will pull even more codes than the dash shows 99% of the time. The dash mostly only shows emissions related codes. And if you had the actual "code" you could google them.
I search this form for throttle actuator and there's a few threads. You'd find more with the actual code.
But I'd bit the bullet and take it to the dealer

There are many knowledgeable owners on this forum. There are literally folks that have rebuilt Vipers from the ground up. Many of the rest of us regularly track our cars and at the track strange things sometimes happen which require trouble shooting.

Have you tried all of the things so far suggested? Code reader, checking all connections to PCM, checking grounds, moving wire harness to make sure you don't have melted wires inside, etc? If you have checked all of these items then I would agree with AZ, find a good Viper tech at a dealer and take your car to him. If you tell us your location (I don't remember seeing that anywhere) someone may be able to suggest a good dealer.
