Hello All,
I've discovered I have the wrong year of PCM in my car, does anyone have a 2001 PCM for sale?
Thanks!

What year do you have? What is the incorrect PCM doing/not doing?
Dan Lesser @ Viper Specialty Performance
I have a 97 RT/10, the motor was replaced with a 2001 engine by the previous owner but the PCM was not changed, so the 97 unit is still there.
From what I can tell the differences between the two are the PCV system and the cam. The car runs well but I think installing the correct computer would allow it to run even better, I assume the two PCMs will have different fuel and spark maps because of the PCV and cam differences.
I had to replace my ECU due to a bad injector driver. I was told that the viper PCM is specific to each year. I looked at the wiring diagrams for several years of the gen 2 viper, they're all the same from what I could tell. I assumed the creampuff cars might have a different "tune" from the earlier gen 2's due to the cam change and such. I never was able to pinpoint exactly why they are year specific, so I searched until I found the proper year.
a 2001 pcm will not work in your 97 rt/10 the evap emissions system is going to throw codes (2001 has more that your 1997 doesnt have, the 2001 also has abs function that your 1997 doesnt have. i would leave it alone, or if you are really worried get a 708 cam and swap it in. the PCV is non electronic it is just hoses and pcv valve so the ecu has nothing to do with it.
your 1997 ecu is quite coveted as it has some of the least emissions issues and less likely to throw codes.
