Codes last 2 or 3 times at the track

Hello. This may be a bit vague but the last 3x I went to the track I got an engine misfire code (CEL)after my 2nd session I believe. I always put in 93 octane fuel, and only name brand fuel.
Each time I top off a few miles from the track. I thought maybe the station I did that at was the problem, so this time I went to a different station before going to the track. I got the same code again, only this time I also got codes for (and I am paraphrasing because I didn't write them down) loss of communication with PCM and loss of communication with the steering column.
I know that you can get weird codes if the battery is bad. I have not replaced the battery since I got the car in 2016, and for all I know it still has the original battery.
The car starts right up and is kept on a trickle charger all winter.
I did notice before (after washing her and polishing)that she started up but an rough when I gave it throttle while parked for maybe a minute. Not sure if this is related but it never happened before. No new codes are displayed.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

    Thanks!
    Ron

Purely a guess. Catalytic converter failing or an oxygen senor?

I am assuming you're hooking up the reader, seeing the codes, then clearing them and everything is fine?

    Exactly Steve.
Even with the CEL the car runs fine.

You are probably better off posting this in the Gen 5 forum. Nobody reads the track forum! I think there's a couple guys in there that can help you with this
