Just started doing it yesterday. Oil pressure is

Thats not good news.. sorry to hear. Good thing you caught it early.. maybe time for bearings. Could also be bad sender.. might be a good idea to have it looked at before driving/running it more.

Need more info. What is "low"? Is it erratic? Please give detail.

I'm sure you had more to say, but there's something going on with the site. I know if I post a message using an iPad or iPhone, the post is incomplete. Not sure what's going on.

Same here. Site is erratic on mobile.

What's the pressure reading? As indicated there's lots of stories on here about bad senders which is obviously a lot less of a problem than engine drama.

Definitely need some more info... If the oil pressure is swinging around wildly, that's likely a bad sensor. If it's rock steady at 10-20 psi, then there are probably problems.

    Haha

Hilarious. It showed my full post at first, then chopped it off. Weird

Oil pressure drops to 0 sometimes when I get on the gas and run it to redline. Normally fluctuates between 80ish to 20ish psi

Took it to the dealership, they’re checking my oil for metal shavings. Service manager thinks it’s most likely the big known issue where they replace the motor. Sorry, can’t think of the name of it right now

I should know in a few days.

WOT, when you have low oil pressure is not a good idea.

nothing to do with the bearings, the bearings can die even with good oil pressure. Oil pressure senders are common issue on this too and report a low when malfunctioned.

Hopefully it's just the sender. Please keep us posted. What year is your car?

Depends on what weight oil you use and at what operating temp and at what RPM

195* 0w-40 is about 30 psi at idle and about 65 psi at load

Yep this is about what I see. Idling at a stop light on a very hot day, I've seen has low as high 20s. On first startup after sitting - 80ish.....

HAHAHA I'm cracking up at this!!!

Otherwise, +1 on the oil pressure sensor/sender. Start there. It's cheap. Try Mopar part number 05149064AB.

Also, mine threw code P0014 "Bank 1 Camshaft 2 Position Target Performance". Getting any codes?

    Mines a 2013

It dropped to zero twice on me and the oil pressure gauge flashed red. I got out of the gas immediately. Normal pressure hops around, but usually around 80ish psi

Regular weight motor oil, and a lower thermostat which keeps it around 206
