Gen V Heads cam rebuild oil pressure issue

Finishing up the rebuild we had issues with Exhaust valve in cylinder 2 getting stuck. Replaced arrow racing intake/exhaust valves with Manelys valves and valve guides. They car started running well for a minute then oil pressure stayed at 97psi for a long time. Something is wrong. we called few friends and it looks like either oil pan bent, oil pump is failing or timing cover making the oil pressure go double! Guess we are replacing them all.

Did anyone run through the same issue? what else to look for?

    Thanks,

    1. Bad valve guides could be lack of oil to the top side.

    2. Some of your friend's suggestions are a stretch.

    3. As suggested, the sender should be your first step.

    4. I believe the relief valve is in the adapter, that would be my second look-see.

My sender went bad & showed as pegged at or near 100psi all the time.

Not saying that this is the problem but the oil sending units has been an issue for many years.

I’d throw on a master gauge before anything else, that way you will know where your at

The updated oil pressure switch before you sweat over it too much.
