    Needed Center muffler bracket

Bought a corsa exhaust system to replace my homemade kit. Apparently this is on the factory mufflers as it didn't come in the kit. Tired of rigging the car together so hoping someone has one they would sell so I can try and do this right for a chance.

See below of the part I'm talking about. Hold the back of the muffler in place.

Found the part number. This is what I'm looking for.

    1996 - 2002 Dodge Viper Rear Exhaust Hanger - 05245034

I sent an e-mail to X2 and ViperPartsRack today but would love some help with this.

You know Dodge sells those parts. For Dodge cars. You just use the internet and go to a Dodge site and look up parts for your car, and there they are.

I'll try again. Everytime I order there it goes through and a week later the order is canceled for the part being discontinued and out of stock. Just order. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Ryan. I think that was you that called me back this AM. If the moparpartsgiant falls through I'll give you a call for sure.

As usual, order was canceled and without even a notification this time. Those site are almost pointless at this point unless you need a common part.... Ryan, giving you a call.

I ordered that same part from a local dodge dealer here in AZ last year, had it in 2 days. Try a dealer if you have one close.

If you’re contacting a dodge dealer for you part then contact the “viper” dealers in no particular order. Roanoke motors, woodhouse, viper exchange. I buy no more than oil filters from my “local” dealer. Most local dealers just don’t/ will not deal with vipers. It’s ok as in my opinion I would rather they didn’t

Just pay the shipping and be happy.

Viper is a car never had a dealer say they wont bother with viper parts, i ve never had a issue with any dealer finding parts other than when mopar boxes/tags wrong for that matter.

this will be a part that some day turns up in NOS parts pile because some one didn't think it was important. possibly reproduced at some point, i've been working on alot more replacement parts here at Scharfs

I just bought one of the rear brackets and other exhaust hanger stuff recently. I too threw all of that stuff away when I went to side exhaust some 10+ years ago. And now I'm going back to rear exhaust and I need all those non important parts back lol.

Dave, are you selling your side exhaust sills? I am looking to go from rear to side exhaust.

Eventually yes. Those and the exit pipes / tips. Which I custom fabricated the mounts to hold them securely to the factory chassis isolators. Which meant I didn't have to add a mount on the chassis because the mount in front of the rear tire really wasn't close enough without some fabrication magic of some sort.

I figured that. I just wanted to know why you want to go back to stock. I met a guy at a car show that has a side exhaust on a GTS and he loved it. Sounded great.

If I keep side exit exhaust I will change it up. I have a new set of smooth sills I would use and there would be more fabrication needed etc blah blah. If I use rear exit it will neither be stock nor will I have to do any fabrication. So in essence, less of my time by removing side exit.

My car sounds great too. Peels paint off the adjacent car doors as you pass them. Saves 40 pounds over rear exit. Did it about 15 years ago right after I got the car. It's just one of those things man.
