I just emailed them too for a quote for a 98 GTS windshield. Unfortunately XYG windshields didn't email me back about the rock auto ones they sold.

No, these are older new windshields. There are a few left in GA I think.

I am confused. How can older new windshields randomly show up if they haven't shown any available in the Dodge parts database? Or are these not from Dodge dealerships? I have kept my eyes open at rockauto with no success too.

From what I've read, the answer is no. That doesn't mean they are plentiful.

Well, I went ahead an ordered one right away after jasond29 mentioned it. I did receive it. Very well packed. Looks to be an aftermarket brand but looks good. Attachment 41591Attachment 41592

FWIW, several years ago I had SAFELITE replace my GEN-II windshield under my old USAA policy at the time...took nine (9) windshields---no kidding--to get one replaced. I think windshield number four or five had a blemish/imperfection below the lower trim piece (couldn't see it once installed) and I said that would be OK...since they had been out countless times already...but they refused to install it. Finally, before coming out with a windshield, they unpacked and inspected it at their shop so they wouldn't be wasting theirs's and my time. Like I said, nine (9) windshields to get one "they" would accept and install.

WOW! I just got a big chip in mine this past weekend, level with my eye on the LHS of the car, I have phoned my insurance company and am waiting to hear back on how they are going to proceed? they have put me in touch with their preferred windscreen supplier and I have informed them I know where one is located in France, but so far no one has responded from the company!

What do you mean by, "affect a Carfax?" FYI, Here is a post found on Reddit: "Carfax history shows windshield replaced. Any cause for concern? (2016 Subaru Outback)"

Carfax shows service performed (oil change, alignment, stuff fixed) and will show windshield replacement if reported.

But it doesn't matter since aftermarket will not have the OEM marking so it will obvious that it was replaced.

But who really cares?
