I have a lead on 16 Gen 2 GTS windscreens made by XYG with the built in antenna, they are located near the southern French German border area. Currently even though I have informed the windscreen supplier chosen by my insurance company that they are there and exist the windscreen company says it is searching their preferred suppliers in the USA! LOL Problem is I would have to take my Van to the Alsace region of France, pick up the screen and secure it so it did not break in transit and take it back to the UK, then now pay customs duty on it too, then find a good fitter to install it.
windshield carfaxes are a garage princess problem
My Insurance company preferred windshield supplier is still trying to find a screen from their usual suppliers
Update: It seems Auto Windscreens UK have managed to find a screen in the USA! They mention something about a blue tint on the top part of the screen? I asked who the manufacture was and the lady on the phone believes its from DODGE! I am waiting for an email with pictures.
Here are pics of mine. It came from Dodge. If yours does not have similar appearance it may not be a Dodge product.

Still waiting
Bump, seems the American supplier that Auto windscreens UK deals with is now not giving a estimated lead time despite earlier saying they had found a screen!
So I'm still waiting.
Last month I talked to Chuck about this and he also has no lead... so Auto Windscreens UK must be really good in their profession if they have one but Chuck not... but I wish you the best of luck, honestly!
Latest update
Auto windscreens UK have informed me that the US Supplier had 2 screens delivered and both were cracked! thats before even shipping them to the UK! next "Estimated" date is January 2023 end! I'm now going to go back to my insurance company and tell them their chosen screen company can not supply!
So. What's all this make for what a new uncracked OEM windshield is worth? Asking for your insurance company of course.
Haha, well here's the latest, the Insurance company have conceded they are having trouble getting the screen, they are going to confirm with me this coming Friday that I can go to France and purchase one of the Chinese XYG screens that I had a lead on months ago. they will then reimburse me and add fitting to the cost. Of course the weather in France is now crap so I wish we could have sorted this out back in August when the screen cracked!
Hi Mark,
any update on the "French Connection"?
The GTS Screens are still down in France. Sorry but I don't know about RT/10 Screens.
As for my car, Sadly my insurance company will not pay for shipping of the replacement screen from France, they insist they are waiting for a screen to come from their supplier in the USA. I will not be renewing my insurance with the current company its been over 6 month's now that I have had to wait. they are expecting a screen to be delivered this month but if it turns up and I don't like it I will not have it fitted! Have to say I'm really disappointed in the whole situation. Our cars are becoming hard to keep on the road, there seems to be no interest from Dodge to support our model of cars. Shame.
There is no money in it for them to make and people would be crying about price.
That is why they just license stuff out like for the cudas, challenger, chargers, 300s, etc. No overhead, just a royality cheque you can say.
Thanks for the update!
This situation really makes me feel scary when taking the car for a spin. I am getting more and more cautious when driving which takes away a substantial part of the fun...
I thought Parts Rack could get these windshields.
