Looking for Gen 5 Engine

Looking for a used stock gen 5 engine or a Heads/cam engine or a stroker engine.

The only readily available ones are ebay rebuilds with a core needed, X2builders will have some used ones without a core needed but they charge you near new for everything, i bought one of their take off gen v srt hoods for 8500. You will be searching and searching for a heads and cam one. And theres no way you'll find a stroker unless you're the son of god.

We did have a used short block from a 9L but it went really fast! Do have some used engines but no idea on the condition of them since they have been sitting.

I have a new block, new crank and all the used parts such as heads, cam, etc from a Gen 4 engine that had failure at rod journals 3 and 4, in addition to that I have the Gen 4 and a gen 5 intake for it. Would be a good candidate for a built motor and you could get exactly what you want.

I have a complete short block with only 1400 miles on it before prefix built me a 9.0 xtreme...

So if someone were to buy one of these used engines, and build it out to a 9.0 xtreme, and then want to take out their stock engine and store it, what else is involved?

I'm primarily wondering what happens electronically with the PCM, mileage reading, etc.

Would the person also want to get a second PCM for the "built" motor? And then how does the mileage read on the "built" motor? Does it start at zero?

Would the stock motor, with its stock PCM, still show the correct miles on the stock motor when it goes back into the car for Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2030?
