    Mystery Toggle Switch

1996 RT/10 - came across a small toggle switch near the jumper post. Followed the orange wire to the radiator fan. I figure it allows the fan to run or not run while driving but under what circumstances would you want the fan to not run while driving?

It would be to force the fan on not force the fan off. People that have no clue how to maintain their cooling system do crap like that. You probably have a 160 or 170* thermostat too which is one of the dumbest mods ever. All installed by the previous owner of course

It's probably there to keep the fan running after the engine is turned off.

People usually add the manual control to cool the engine after it has been shut off, or as a workaround to some other issue.

Looks like a prototype of the new 5G products - lucky you have one before embargo. Downside, they know everything about you

The only application I could see that being beneficial in would be at a track. You can set it to run the fan and cool the car during pit times.

It would cool the radiator, but if the water pump isn't turning, the motor will still heat soak. The best way to cool the motor after a hard lapping session/hot drive, is to putt around at low speed for a bit, or let the engine idle until the H.S. fan quits cycling.
