    Question 1997 Valve Stem Caps

I'm looking for a backup set of original valve stem caps for my B/W GTS. Thanks

Jack, so say "backups set" so you must be confident of having an OE set in the first place?

Im sure we have them, but I just cannot ID them as OE-vintage! Can someone definitively say "my 97 stem caps are OE, and here is a pic"? Is it the black-ribbed pointy-dome cap?

What about the GREEN DOOHICKIE ? [The grounding-post guard?] Those are RARE !

Do you have a pic? I'm curious if my 96 B/W has the originals...

Just saying but, why would you want the original ones anyway. I hope its not that you want it to stay original so it can become a collectable?..i don't think th 97 GTS will reach that status where the valve caps are going to be an issue. Not in your lifetime or the next. Don't sweat it really.

If it is because it just makes you feel better, then, by all means do your darnist to find an OEM set.

I have the originals from both my 96's and never thought anything of them. I have put on sneaky pete logo ones and threw those in a zip bag.

Very similar to the "Dill" black plastic ones. I guess it's the National Corvette Restores Society, which I have been a member for over 22 years, makes me look at the finite detail of the cars.
