It wouldn't even cross my mind.
And, yes...I have loaded an ACR E onto a flatbed...taking great care to do no damage, plenty of extra eyes watching many sites, and quite a few extra boards to decrease the approach angle...all of which followed me removing the strakes. We were successful.
Back to your situation...these special cars require very careful handling and planning. It takes more time and often is more expensive...but worth it in my opinion.
Maybe for a mile. Without the engine running, no gears in the transmission are spinning, so no lubrication. The main shaft will be spinning and will eventually seize.
As stated, these cars are difficult to get on a trailer. An enclosed trailer with either a 7ft or 8 ft rear door solves a lot of the issues. My trailer also has a 60" hinged ramp on the door, that little feature totally solves the entry/exit issue..
When I had to put mine on a trailer, I pulled the rear of the truck on ramps. Raises the front of the trailer, lowers the rear, it just makes it then. The just drive it on.
