    Arrow PCM Benefits

Tried using the search feature and that was not showing anything. I changed out the PCM to an Arrow on my Gen IV and it made that car a completely different car. Throttle response improved immensely and the car felt more free flowing (that is the only way to describe it). The Gen V feels restricted when getting on the throttle when compared to the Gen IV...so what does the Gen V Arrow PCM do to the car other than allow for certain mods?

Timing is advanced a bit, but previous threads show the gains even with headers/cats is negligible. If you really like backfire/pops it's good though. I bought mine with the Arrow PCM, it caused some issues due to some of the codes it disables, went back to stock for a while to do a car rally and really didn't notice any difference in power. I'm now HPTuners.

I've considered sending mine back in to get rid of the backfire/pops...it's terribly loud.

Isn't throttle response also improved by the Arrow PCM?

For me it was the sound, horsepower increase is negligible. You don't live all that far from me - you're welcome to do a back to back if you're ever in the area.

Has Torrie or others been able to match the decel pop of the Arrow with their HPTune?

just as FYI, Andy/Morgan at VE told us recently that FCA is pretty much zero tolerance on the engine warranty if you have a Arrow PCM now, despite it not being the cause of any bearing issues.

That's interesting considering precedence was set that they cover it. Wouldn't they have to provide the evidence it was the pcm that caused the issue? Tom Sessions recently reached out to me for my vin to support someone else's claim since my TA was one of the ones in the midst of the controversy on which that precedent was set. I haven't followed up with him to see how things turned out for the owner he was working with.

They were being nice and precedence really won't matter. Any other FCA Product (Specifically Challenger and Chargers) if you came in with a modified PCM say good bye to your powertrain. Your modifying how the engine preforms therefor out of factory spec. Even if you reduced timing/horsepower in general they could argue the engine wasn't made to operate that way and there for won't be covered. Since 13' Vipers lost their powertrain and most of 14's / 15's are starting to go out of warranty now (Minus extended mopar warranties) this'll be less of an issue. For anyone on an extended warranty (Like myself) and modified, just make sure you have a savings account if the motor goes.

Remember that any car that had R28 and didn't require a new engine also got a 10 year/100,000 power train warranty. So there are still a lot of years left on some of the 13 and 14s.

You'd think...but with no mufflers, no cats, and custom headers, it's LOUD.

After a lengthy discussion with Morgan last week
and some folks recently denied I decided not to pull the trigger. I already have it so plan to list it for sale with some coated headers soon.

Hey guys (who don’t hate me on here, lol,) I was an R28 how do I confirm that I get 10 years 100k powertrain? Without going to dealer?

Call the dealer and give them your VIN. They can look it up.
