    Did my oil lines yesterday

Needed an oil change, so did the oil lines on my gen 3. I thought it would be harder. Took me about an hour.

-dissasembly was a snap. Just needed a 1 1/4" for the adapters out of the cooler and the block.
-I started the new AN adapters above the car, for both the block and oil cooler. With the airbox out it was fairly easy to reach. Torqued the new adapters with a 1" deep socket. Block adapters I torqued form below the car.
-I did the same with the oil lines. Hand tightened the lines from above. Used an AN wrench to tighten the lines to ~1\2 turb past hand tight, block from below.

Hopefully this helps for someone in the future.

I'm doing my lines right now - I spent like 10 minutes trying to screw in a 90* fitting into the block before i realized it's too tight and needs to be a 45* fitting, grrrrrr.

Did you remove the spring clamp and coolant lines on the oil cooler to gain access to the fittings for the oil lines? I eventually was able to unscrew the fittings from the oil cooler, but man it was a major pain in the ass (I ended up undoing the fittings from the block first, then sliding the box end of a wrench down the hose in order to be able to grab the fitting without the coolant line above it fouling with the wrench)

Only things I removed was oil filter and the two 10mm bolts holding the ac line. I used a 32 mm socket to crack the adapters to block/cooler and 1" to torque in the AN adapters. The rest I hand tightened and then tightened to -1/4 turn past hand tight w/AN wrench.

I bullied the rubber hoses on oil cooler, within reason.

I'm having a much easier time screwing in the fittings into the oiler cooler than out, probably because of how fat my wrench is (1 1/4'' for old vs 1 1/8'' for new)

done! no more leaky leaky for me!

for anybody making their own lines one of the fittings on the block is a 45*, one is a 90*. The oil cooler could either use 2 90*s or 1 90 and 1 45*. I used startlite hose since stainless braided will cause abrassion
