    McLaren 650S

    http://autos.yahoo.com/news/mclaren-...193430427.html

The nitty gritty: the 650S rockets off the line to 62 mph in just 3.0 seconds, meaning it should hit 60 mph for us Yanks in about 2.9; 0-124 mph comes in just 8.4 seconds; and it rattles off the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds at 139 mph. Top speed? 207 mph. Braking? 62 mph-zero in 100 feet, 124 mph-zero in 404 feet, and 186 mph-zero in 889 feet.

McLaren's newest supercar owes its brisk performance to its potent 641-horsepower twin-turbo V-8 engine and sophisticated power delivery system. The 650S's relatively light weight of 2,932 pounds dry, which yields a power-to-weight factor of 437 horsepower per ton (or 4.57 pounds per horsepower) also helps

That's serious acceleration from the factory.

OK, I LOVE this car! BUT, as an owner (never gonna happen for me), how would a supercar like this actually hold up in the real world?

In "my" real world, I drive probably 6k miles a year in my Viper, virtually trouble free. Somehow I'm thinking I'd be driving (or flatbedding) my Mclaren to the mechanic every 1k miles in my "real world". Yea, I know if I had the $$ I'd probably have no issue with paying the mechanic to pick it up or just come over to my 20 car garage to make repairs and adjustments.

But wouldn't it be frustrating if Sunday's drives were often interrupted with mechanicals? Just wondering (probably trying to find an excuse for dreaming LOL).

I like the P1 styling cues to the front end; awesome looking in blue.

MP4's are already listed down into the 190's (coupes not spyders). Drummer would know best but I hear the key is the Iris software upgrade.

What's MSRP on this new model?
