Question Gen 2 GTS battery relocation into the trunk

Hi everyone, first post here. I had to deal with a battery swap today and must say that that was a PITA! I don't need trunk space, so was thinking about relocating the battery into that space.
    Wondering if:

    1. anyone has done this already with wisdom to share
    2. anyone know what the OEM battery cable wire size is?
    3. also, does a group 78 battery box exist??

    Thank you!

Probably dangerous due to the emission gasses from a battery. It would need to be in a sealed and externally vented enclosure to outside the trunk. They do make them however. An RT/10 would be a different story as the trunk is not shared space with the occupants.

Not sure it's worth the trouble, a good battery with proper maintenance should last years...

Battery Tender.... then all your troubles are over. Leave it disconnected at your peril!

Just put a tender on it and be done with it. The routine to replace the battery isn't a big deal when you're only doing it every 7-8 years. Not what you probably want to hear but it's the truth.
