    9 0 liter at Bondurant

    Video below.
I took the 9.0 liter to Nasa's event this weekend at Bondurant with the Looper config. Ran a 1.04.484 with traffic, beating my own TTU record by almost 1 full second. I've now got 9 current NasaProRacing.com track records, 3 TTU records in the 9 liter and 6 TT1 records in the stock ACR, pretty sure more than anyone else in the country.
I had a 1.02.9 predictive on the next lap (tires getting up to temp) all the way until the last turn before the looper and another Vette blocked me in, I pulled off after that. On these small tracks I hit traffic on 2nd lap and then really bad traffic 3rd so no sense staying on track.
Only my 2nd time there and only my 12th lap there. I don't know of anything else that's ever gone faster there, not even Radicals etc. Trying my best to keep the Viper relevant on track!!!
We got really lucky to run this track this weekend as Bondurant is in bankruptcy. Hopefully these track stay open it's pretty much all we have around here (There's four small tracks on Indian Land near the casino. Bondurant, "East Track", "West Track", "Main Track". I'll be screwed if they all close. My buddy Neil (member here nrs1) was there in his high power Gen 2 and my buddy Scott in his ACR on A7's. And Martyb stopped by always good to see you dude!

Nicely done Cable, car is running great! Congrats on another record!

I’d say you’re doing more than keeping it ‘relevant’. Wow, that’s some serious representing.

Beating radicals, especially if we’re talking 8’s and eco’s, is amazing. That course looks more like an autocross, incredible to see the ‘long legged’ ACR kill it even on such a short/tight course ... just so capable in the right hands, like yours. Congrats!!

    Awesome job Cable!!
We could increase the rev limit by a couple hundred RPM so those couple instances you wont be on it.

You could increase the rev limit by 500 rpm and he would still be on it. LOL

Wow !!! Amazing driving and congrats on all your track records.
2 weeks ago, I did the 3 day Advance driving class at Bondurant (for the third year in a row) and we had hours of fun on that track, but I admit that my pace was a bit slower than yours !!!

It was still open two weeks ago? Pretty sure it's closed now. All the cars are sitting there though. Did you drive a Hellcat?

Damn that car sounds amazing!! You are really hustling it around that course. Nice driving!!

Needs a little more RPM or a touch numerically lower rear gear. Looks like a 6500 rpm rev limit? Can you regularly twist them to 7000 and will they live or no? Just needs to carry a little more MPH in 2nd and 3rd. Looks like it puts down power great or is that just the way it looks in the video?

Every track is different, so I won't be changing gearing. My redline is actually 6700 but I'm running 28 inch tall rear tires so it looks like it's lower. And yeah I can put full power down in 2nd gear once the tires are warmed up. Even on "skinny" 310's lol

Yes, we were there on the week of March 11, driving the Hellcats, widebody, manual. 2 days on the main track and one day on the West Track....lots of fun !!!
Some interested parties are supposed to be making an offer to buy back the school, before bankrupcy and modernise everything, building and tracks.

7,000rpm 9.0L? How does it look on the engine dyno? Any valvetrain concerns?

I plan on sending my motor back to them next month for higher compression pistons and we are going with Jesel rockers as well which would take care of any valvetrain concerns.

That is going to be insane! What is the compression target?

I can only imagine what a Viper with that much compression is going to sound like. My Z06 was at 13.8:1 and it REALLY woke the car up. I have been hoping I would see somebody get that aggressive with this engine. What fuel do you normally run?

Yeah it already sounds amazing, so the compression will give it that thump in the chest feeling when standing near it. Can't wait! I run 101 now, will run 110 when I get it.

13.1 on road race is the max, we tried higher and it didnt work out so well.
We can go higher on a drag race engine.
You dont want to big of a dome since it affects cylinder head airflow and fuel burn in the combustion chamber.
