Keyfob does not recognise my Gen 3 Viper anymore

Can somebody here help me to start up my Gen 3 Viper that is located in my garage.
Since today the Viper will not start anymore.

The immobilizer stays on when turning the key. The same occurs with the spare key.
The alarm function works and also the boot release with both keyfobs.

Tomorrow I will buy 2 new battery's CR 2016 per keyfob.
Probably I have to do a reset so that the key recognises the Viper and vice versa ? How is the reset procedure ?

    Thanks for your help !

    Rob.

Did you have it in sleep mode ?

Have you tried emergency key port ?

    Define "will not start anymore".

Call me if you like 317-402-9013

    OR

Text your number to me and I will call you.

P.S....have you checked ASD 1 fuse? Started wire tightness?

Perhaps my english is not well enough, but I tried to say that when the key is turned all the lights on the dasbord are on, but pushing the startbutton is giving no signs of live.
I had driven the Viper the day before.
The battery in the car is new.
I do not know what the emergency key port is. Is that the red "panic " button on the fob ?

No on the red fob button...that is panic alarm to start horn honking if you are attacked.

You might start by slightly moving the clutch position sensor on church actuator shaft. Then try to start.

Open the fuse box under the hood...pull ASD 1 fuse (20 amp) and swap it with the cigarette lighter fuse right next to it. If that does not work, carefully remove starter relay and swap with horn. One could try the same with ASD relay.

If still no starter function, got under car to check and secure wire connections at the starter as they have been known to loosen.

Start button, and ignition switch may need to be evaluated.

    Good luck.

Steve I think you meant clutch and not church.

Do you hear a clicking sound when you press the start button? No sound may indicate an open circuit as Steve mentions.

tallbloke, aside from all of my guessing above, if you still need help, reach out to "Roy" on this forum as he is a bright fellow, knows your model quite well, and lives in your general area.

Thank you Steve for your input. I know Roy because I bought his GTR 2 years ago.
Back to the Viper. Today I checked the battery connections, I released the plus pole for 15 minutes and I changed the 4 fob battery's.
I can start it up now.
Tomorrow I will drive to my mechanic to check for failures......

Today the monitor showed a few minor faults. A reset was done on both key fobs.

    Glad you are making progress.

The keyhole in the area of the driver's door underneath the mirror is a mechanical door unlocking port...and, an alarm reset.

This should be cycled with the key every six months...with a very light film of chassis grease on the key.

Since yesterday the same problem occurs again on both key fobs.
It seems to me when using the clutch in combination with changing gears when standing still the Viper will start again. Sensor ?
    Quit annoying anyway.

Have you tried adjusting the position of the clutch position sensor? Also, you could unplug and replug that sensor just to clear any micro corrosion on the contacts.

The cluth position sensor has been renewed. ASD fuse checked. ASD relay checked. Still the the non starting problem occurs now and then. Non starting means that after turning the key the volt meter does not come alive and in that case the startbutton does not react on pushing it. After about 10 minutes we do get sings of life again......

Last week we decided to investigate the situation under the steering column. We found out that all the 4 cables towards the key device were damaged. All 4 got new isolation socks.
The starting problem didi not occur anymore since.
