Colorado emissions Draconian or mod friendly

I've sold my SoCal house and am moving to Colorado Springs soon, and I was wondering what their emission requirements are. Reading through their .Gov site doesn't spell things out very well, so I figured I'd ask the resident experts about their experiences.

I've had a couple cars through with modified exhaust systems, and have friends that have had no issues passing cars with engine swaps and big aftermarket turbo setups. Pre-95 gets a visual for Cat and O2, 96 and up get scanned for codes. I just picked up my Viper and have yet to get it inspected. Running Belanger headers, HF cats, and no mufflers. PO said it passes, but to make sure the cats are nice and hot.

What part of CO are you moving to? I'm in Boulder area.

We are buying in Colorado Springs. I currently don't have a Viper, but that could change on a dime(as my wife has found out numerous times;-). Her first clue used to be the Woodhouse trailer pulling up in front of our place!
