    Brake light date codes

Hi, I am new here and have been looking to buy a Gen II Viper for a few months now. I have been soaking in as much as I can about the cars and since they are so rare have not been able to see one in person yet.

I have been reading about what to look for to see if a car have been in an accident. Should the date codes on the brake lights be the same year or within a year of the car? I found one car that was a 2001 with a 2002 third brake light, is there anyway it would leave the factory like that?

    Cheers,
    Luke

It shouldn't, but there could be a multitude of reasons that it might've been replaced, if it was.

May want to look at the build date of the car. Shouldn't be newer than the year of the car ESPECIALLY if it was an early build.
