Question about cone in end of exhaust

I’m not sure what kind of exhaust is on my car, but it is stainless with a nice looking polished tip with a very thick edge. I want the exhaust to be louder. Short of removing the rocker panels to see what kind of exhaust it is, I’m not sure how to figure out what’s on there now. I do notice though that I’m the end of the tips, there are mesh cones spot welded into the pipes. I’m posting pics. If I were to cut the welds and pull these out, does anybody think it would make it louder?

That looks like dynatech vortex cones used to tone down the exhaust decibels. I once had them on my Gen2 but couldn't notice the difference in noise as I was still getting flagged on the track for decibals. Looks like someone stuffed in there and tack-welded it. Easy to remove. They work best near the collector...not in the ass end of the exhaust.

Thanks. I’m going to remove them and see what happens.
