Unknown plug disconnected beside transmission driver side

    1994 no A/C

I just discovered a plug that was disconnected. Where does it go and what is its purpose? Any idea?

I think it would be for the skip shift solenoid. I thought this wonderful feature has been on all generations and yours may have been eliminated. If so it’s a good mod

If that's the case, that is great!

If you simply unplug the skip shift without plugging in the skip shift eliminator dummy part it will throw a CEL unless you've had someone program that out of your PCM. The skip shift will be at the tail of the transmission. That looks near the bellhousing end seeing as that's the oil pan in your pic.

Yes, it is just beside the bellhousing. No CEL. I've got no clue what it could be, everything works fine...

That double diamond plug is for the a/c compressor. Most non-ac are wired for it, the plug is normally taped up in the harnesss

your photo looks like the left front corner of the engine where the timing cover meets the block, not the bell housing.097.jpg

Skip shift is very small plug, 2 pin and white in color.

I believe Ryan is correct. The OP's photo shows the nose of the starter in the upper right. The pic is of the front left of the engine and that's where the optional A/C compressor mounts.

Alright so I don't have to worry about that then... I never understood what's the purpose of A/C in these Gen 1s.

    Thanks!
