Looking to purchase a 01 or 02 low milage red Gen 2 GTS

Looking to buy a very low mileage red 2001 or 2002 GTS, prefer mostly stock and might consider a RT/10.
    thank you

An '01 or '02 with average car mileage of 50K miles or so is way more reliable than a garage queen and way cheaper. Unless you are buying to continue to keep it as a garage queen.

If you want a true collector car there is an immaculate 2001 GTS-ACR in red on eBay right now. You will be paying a big premium for that, but if you have it and that's what you want I doubt you will find one better.

High Viper mileage is low mileage in general, and if there are regular service records to support it....potentially a very smart buy if you plan to continue to drive/ track/ enjoy the car. Different strokes!

Did it actually sell? I see it had one bid sometimes it falls through. I think that car started in South Carolina in 02 so I’m guessing it had a few owners before getting to NJ. That’s a good price for that car if it did. Nice to see Vipers ticking up in value.

There is an 02 Final Edition GTS, Red/Silver stripes in Hemmings Motor News. 582 original miles. $64,000 OBO. It's in California, tel# 949-633-6244. www.hmn.com/2064230

My 01 was a garage queen when I bought it 4 years ago (I drive it all the time) and it's been extremely reliable. If they are maintained properly they can drive like new cars.

    Good luck.

Well the one I referred you to has sold. However, if you keep scrolling through the 5 pages on the link, there are other candidates.

Found a privately owned 2002 red RT/10 with 6k miles that I will be looking at in about a week, it does have the original tires.

My 2002 RT/10 had 11,000 miles and the original tires when I bought it last October. I purchased 4 new Toyo R888R tires via JonB and had Discount Tire install them. I have 1300 miles on these tires with no issues thus far. Car is not tracked.

When I finalize a purchased on a either the RT/10 or GTS, I will be giving JonB a call on a set of tires for sure. I might even enquire about a catback exhaust.

Just out of curiosity, a 2001 yellow with black stripe GTS just popped up on ebay and was wondering if anybody is familiar with this viper. The listing sates he's from Merrimack, New Hampshire.

There is a 1997 Red GTS with under 3K miles and appears to be Bone Stock on BAT. Auction ends today in about 6 hours.
I know it is not a 01/02, but with a current bid of $33.6K could be a real buy.
It is also a Gold wheel car (on the Window sticker).
