Black looks really good with the matching black rear panel. However, if you’re gonna go big on the wheels something like white gold or the dark gold is hard to go wrong. SW2 look so good in black but lots of vipers have them. Might be best to set these apart.

I think with the black accents the black is where it's at for me. Hard to go wrong with any of them, but to my eye the color itself has enough "pretty" factor on it's own and the black accents are a nod to the dark side that is the ACR-E in a Jekyll and Hyde form if you will.

Not usually a big fan of Black wheels, but on your car they simply look stunning and complete the effect of the Black/Blue combo!!!

Gloss Black! and I normally don't like black but that would be sweet!

  6. #31
I like the Porsche white gold, wonder how the tinted trasperant gold would look on a blue car.

Excellent comments all. Thank you. I purposely stayed out of the conversation so that I would not influence the results

Unexpectedly, it seems there is no definitive "best" color, as the preferences are all across the board. But the least favorites seem to be the silver (one of the brighter colors) and Aurum Gold (the brightest Yellow Gold). Thus, it looks like the preference is for the darker shades (and some like the white gold).

For me, black is off the table because I'll be keeping the stock wheels and I'd like the second set to offer some variation. Plus, there are lots of cars with black wheels these days. I like the idea of trying to get a gold wheel to work, but in my mind it needs to be darker, like the brass monkey.

Just saw this, but I vote for gun metal.

I think the silver rocks with that blue. Of course I’m biased LOL! My next is all the darker shades of the silver grey you have. I can’t get the gold colors to work with that blue in my head. If the car was all black then the golds are stunning.

Brass monkey is a little light in color to me, Made my H wheels in Triple Bronze with a 60% sheen to them.

That finish looks great! And yes, the wheels are incredible. Can't wait to finally get a color sorted out and the wheels onto the car

So, we're down to two basic looks -- the gunmetal/pearl gray and a darker satin bronze/brass monkey.

Here's Forgeline's Gloss Bronze for reference. IMHO, it's better than a matte bronze. It shines in the sun, but look matte in the shadows.

I vote for gunmetal if those are the two choices. The brass wheels look good on Bryan Savage's orange car but the gunmetal looks better on yours.

Gunmetal. Is it an option to pull the black wrap off the rear bumper?

Removing the black from the bumper is definitely available. I'm not wed to it.

Regarding the gunmetal v. bronze/gold, I agree with the thoughts here that gunmetal looks great. It is also the safer choice, by far. After all, we're soooo used to seeing that color for wheels.

But am I crazy to think that this looks like a much more "fun" combination? I know Bryan's with me

Besides the obvious Italian design element, is there some reason why it works better on the Lambo than it would on the Viper? The colors are very close and, in fact, my lighter blue should work even better with the bronze/gold wheel color if I can get a good match on the color. I suppose I could go to my local Lambo dealer and match it (I have most of the powder color swatches).

Scott I originally considered brushed tinted gold, just like Tony’s and I think they would have looked great, but I’m also happy with my more conservative pick. Brushed transparent smoke worked out well, in my opinion anyway!

I third that. Black is just so right in contrast to that Grabber Blue (1970 Mustang color) - Brass anything doesn't as look good with it IMO.

I don't think any of the gold colors look right, against that blue on the car. I like the gunmetal, number 6.
