    Returning 1996 B W GTS Owner

    Hello Guys and Gals,

After a 13 year gap I am back in a Viper. I purchased it from the Viper Exchange in Huston. It is currently going through a full service at the Viper Wizard (Chuck Tator). It is 100% stock with 26K miles on the clock. There are just a few bolt on items that I would like to add so if anyone has these laying around please PM me.
    A) MGW Ashtray cover with the engraved shifting pattern.
    B) MGW Glove box cover with the Sneaky Pete emblems.
    C) Blue smooth tubes.

I plan to leave it mostly stock other than adding a nice exhaust system and 19in rims.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

Congrats. Pics would be great when you can. Chuck is outstanding, so you'll be all set soon. Enjoy it. Steve

Yes, Chuck serviced my 1996 GTS 13 years ago, so I knew he would be the one to get it to 100%. It spent it's life in Cali so a lot of the rubber was dry, so all hoses and various other plastic pieces are being replaced. Can't believe how many parts are discontinued, but he has been striking 1000 with finding all the stuff it needs. Cosmetically it is a 9. As soon as I get it back it is going in for Ceramic Coating and the Expel treatment even the windshield, as I heard this can't be replaced. I will definitely post pics when I get it back.

    Welcome back, Ben !!

I noticed that you are interested in blue smooth tubes. As I recall, Snake-Oyl used to sell them...not sure now.

My Wife has blue ones on our three Gen II Vipers with blue paint...along with blue wires, of course.

I called a good friend who made them for Gen I and II Vipers "back in the day". He used same stock as that used on Gen II ACR's...colors were red, black, purple, blue, yellow, and a few in pink (the last ones mentioned were an inside joke...don't ask).
He sold several hundred sets...a little longer than some others so that they fit correctly, a carefully crafted bevel-angle, stainless steel clamps...all at a cost of less than a third of the ACR tubes. Said friend has a few left...unsure of colors. If he has blue, I will pick them up and send them to you...free.

    Hi Ben,

Congrats on the stellar purchase! A ‘96 B&W GTS is one of those iconic Vipers that most of us would love to have in our garage.

I’m also from LI and we have a very large, active group around here. I’m going to PM you some contact info if you’re looking to link up and meet up with other Team Viper members around here.

Talk to you soon and hope that the groundhog was right this year!

If he has Red or black after the OP gets one let me know. I bought some smooth tubes from a Viper Parts Vendor a couple years ago and they are to short so I've actually gone back to the stock ones. Figured they were all the same so never ordered more.

98RedGTS, yes there is one set of black smooth tubes. If you want them, text your name and mailing address to me at 317-402-9013.

There WAS one set of purple tubes...already on the way to a new home.

There remains one set of yellow tubes that are a light yellow made to match the Gen I yellow Vipers ( NOT the later race yellow color). I will be happy to send these yellow tubes to a new home as well. Mailing address will need to be USA.

We owe a special thanks to former Viper owner Charlie for donating these final tube sets "to the cause" !!

Welcome back. Great group of enthusiasts here. Did you want to add aftermarket or stock 19 in rims? Looking to move mine with good rubber.
