    Poly Control Arm Bushings

I'm looking for opinions from those that have installed these. Do you like them? Is the handling noticeably improved? How much more NVH did it add?

I drive my car to and from social gatherings and autocross/track it dozens of times a year. It's basically my social-car and weekend warrior. I don't want to do anything that will make me hate the car on the street.

Cliff: My bushings are completely shot and I've already got the car apart - oem replacements or go poly?

I did full poly on a corvette 20 years ago. Noise went up some but the ride was better. Poly lets the arms move smoother but the hard material transfers more noise to the frame. I did the vette as a DD for years. The viper has more noise to start with so I would think you notice it even less.

Just go poly. I did the energy kit this year on my 01. Steering and body motion is better and more predictable and no degradation to the ride. You may be able to hear an NVH detriment if your car is bone stock otherwise you will never notice it. I have a corsa catback and cats for reference.

Pulled the trigger, thanks guys. I'm running full B&B exhaust with high flows. I'm sure you're right, I won't notice a thing.

I just bought the enegery suspension red polly bushes.
I figured they would give me at least 15% bhp due to the colour Fast red

    Any install tips?

Does this mean you wont be making any more kits in the future? If so, I'll grab a set of black. I'm just not ready to tackle my bushings and probably wont for a year or so but I also don't want to be SOL for these bushings when that time comes :-(

i could do them again, i have to do atleast 10 a time to come out ahead. i did 15 total on the first one ( used 3 my self testing fit and making instructions) i would need to know if you have a recall brace, the steel insert is shorter on the recall brace if you have it. $185 shipped in USA a set, if you dont know if you have the call brace and can not check i can send both inserts and it would be $195 shipped($10 for 3rd insert) i have one set of Gen1 left also Josh Vankannon helped with the Gen1, he did the first test fit, to his credit i wouldnt have done them and found all the components to make them work with out him asking for them.

this is the recall brace, they had to be cut down to clear the one bracket ear.

Are the bushings for the Gen I the same price? What color is the set that is left for the Gen I?

I will check and get back to you.

So just got under the car and checked!
Looks like I don't have that recall brace!
    Do I need it?
I measured between the two internal flats.
    See pics.

what year is the car?i think 2000+ didnt get it, the cut off was in 1999 mid year or something if iirc

for gen1, all i have is red, one set. they are $165 shipped comes with poly trans mount, front torque arm mount and the bat wing bushings. if you need black it would be a week at least. the gen1 is easier to get my hands on.

2000 did not need the rear frame recall. Only '99 and earlier.

The front work has been done but not the rear.

Why are we sharing differential bushings on a control arm thread? No shame. LOL

    For my diy hombres:
    Shock bushings pending
    Front control arm kit: 5.3125
    Rear control arm kit: 5.3126

Add "R" to the end of the part# for red bushings.

I put together a universal kit when I did my differential b4 NCM in October. Would have to dig up the part #s.
