Installed the ACR Rear Diffuser on a Gen V GTS

    Hello all,

So I have been perusing the forums for quite some time now, and have been bouncing between the cheaper fin addition and the true ACR rear diffuser fins. Knowing myself all too well and that I would not be happy without going big, I took the plunge and decided to get the true ACR rear diffuser. I ended up purchasing from Wayne and Laurelle at XtremeSupercars. Their kit was far less expensive (about 60%) of the parts if bought directly from Dodge (almost $6k). I ordered and had the box the next morning at my local airport (shipped Delta DASH).

There are a few things to note.
    1. The GTS rear diffuser pan is identical to the ACR diffuser pan with the exception of the ACR pan having the rivnuts already installed to bolt the diffuser brackets to.
    2. The kit from XtremeSupercars has everything needed including a fiberglass template for drilling rivnut holes (with a 3/8 inch bit) and rivnuts.

    3. The rivnuts are extremely difficult to deploy with the included nut/bolt tool. They kept spinning and I had to reach around and inside the diffuser and grip the inner tip with pliers to keep it from spinning. I have discussed this issue with Wayne and he is looking to find a better solution. My solution would be to buy/borrow a commercially available rivnut tool. It would have cut the time spend to 2/3 what it took.

    4. 6 holes need to be drilled into the metal underbody pan for attaching the 2 center diffuser brackets.

    5. After all the rivnuts are in and deployed solidly, everything else is super easy.
    6. I had a storage lift which made the job 10x easier (suckers).

I will include some more pictures of the rivnuts in and final product since there is apparently a 5 file limit. Womp.

Front splitters and rear diffuser weren't on in these pics and the wife's SRT Grand Cherokee wasn't home at the time but I had to show off the garage.

Nice write up OP & nice stable; the diffusers in my opinion help complete the car. As I'm not mechanically inclined I had my Xtreme set installed by my viper tech LOL!!!

The rear diffuser was the most boring part of the car IMO. With the Xtreme kit its perfect. The front splitters are also a necessity to complete the car I think. They really do a great job making the car look lower. I ended up installing dry carbon front splitters and side skirts on the Lamborghini as well. It already had an extensive rear diffuser with strakes.

Yep...makes all the difference in the world, I also used their front splitter and rear TA type spoiler. They make great stuff.
