Alzeway Boys Home Car Show and Fundraiser APR 13

This will be our 5th time out to Tyler to support the Azleway Boys Home with our annual car show. This year also happens to be the 40th birthday of the Azleway program. We are bringing it in to Tyler this year for a huge car show. Along with the VOA, several other car clubs from the Houston, DFW, and Western Louisiana and East Texas will be in attendance, so we need to make sure we have a strong turnout as the VOA has been the driving force for this event for several years. Lunch will be provided at the show. We have arranged a short drive and dinner for VOA only afterwards followed by drinks, cigars, and all the fellowship you can handle back at the hotel. Sunday will be a morning drive around East Texas followed by lunch and see you laters! Check back here for details as they become available! Hotel arrangements should be finished shortly and will be back at the Courtyard Marriott where we always stay.

Wanted to go ahead and get this flyer out to everyone with some of the information. Wayne is in the process of securing the final details for dinner and such and will hopefully have that finished next week.

No need to register the cars with anyone, it will be similar to years passed when we just show up. It is going to be quite large this year, though, as several other car clubs are coming as well. Lunch will be provided at the car show. It opens at 11:00 so we'll need to be set up just prior to that. As in the past, no entry fees are required but tax deductible donations are encouraged. Wouldn't hurt to bring a comfortable chair or two.

After the show, we'll head out to the Rauh's house/garages for a little while and then just the VOA people will head out to dinner. "Business meeting" and shenanigans at the Marriott after dinner.

Sunday will be a scenic drive and lunch before parting ways with everyone to return home.

Hey everyone, sorry to bring bad news, but the azleway Car Show has been cancelled by the event organizers. I apologize that this won’t play out as we had planned. They are looking at a reschedule date of May 18th but that’s not set in stone as of yet. Will keep you updated!
